Beautiful, lyrical writing. A lovely story!

Fantastic read! I love Jessica Strawser’s books. I was really on the edge of my seat toward the end.

At first I thought it was going to be too gruesome and depressing and then I was hooked in. It’s an addictive page turner I I just bought the new t book in the trilogy.

I couldn’t finish it. It was too slow and boring.

Quality of the writing is very good. The book is boring and drags with little clear plot.

A nice Christian story with a predictable plot line. I didn’t like was that all characters were constantly sobbing/crying as a reaction to everything that, by the middle of the book, made them less believable. Additionally, women were unable to handle anything and sobbed at everything until they were rescued by a man and God. The only strong female character, Georgi, was portrayed as harsh but she had a spine.

Great read! Some of the metaphors are a little cheesy but they make me laugh. It’s an entertaining page turner

Amazing book! Hard to believe she found her way out of her home situation to an education.
