I adore Jane Austen but could someone take this and adapt it into a series instead? Give our dear Jane a break and find new source material? This is fun so far!

Definitely picking up in interest for me, something that’s maybe a little too late into the book for me to want to continue the series unless there’s a huge cliffhanger at the end.

Second time and I’m so excited

I have to say I appreciate that Violet never dances around the point. Never thought I’d see an emotionally intelligent character in a popular romantasy, but here we are.

I don’t know what it is that isn’t connecting me to this book or any character but every time I pick it up I want to put it right back down.

Please. I need it to be over.

There are yeses and there are nos. I’m enjoying the witchy part. I want to know more about magic and how the potions are made, I loved the details of how he got the dragons blood. And I want one of those grimoires for myself! But do I actually like the characters? I don’t know yet. And I feel like 300+ pages in, I should know.
