Ooh, I think we’re gonna see some of the fallout of Magnus’s Mistake from the Terran perspective. At least I hope so!

Relatively short chapters of around ~30 minutes in a Heresy book?! I honestly didn’t know they had it in ‘em.

Given that my introduction turned obsession to Warhammer was via the Rogue Trader videogame, I was absolutely delighted to see another Rogue Trader pop up here during these initial stages of the space cops murder case. I have a feeling my already overflowing TBR is going to soon be flooded with a bunch of Warhammer Crime books.

Nearly a quarter of the way in, and I am finding this book endlessly fascinating.

One chapter in and, good lord, this is hitting all the right notes for me so far. Some direct Horus action after a few books off the front, a failed assassination attempt two years into the Warmaster's insurrection, and a little bit about how the insurrection as a whole is impacting the worlds between Terra and Isstvan as seen through the eyes of (ostensibly) a homicide beat cop working an incredibly grisly murder.

"We can see INTERVIEW [WITH A VAMPIRE] next week." Gotta say, I am absolutely in love with the cosmic coincidence that in reality, INTERVIEW makes its 4K debut one week after this book releases.
