Now reading Snowblind itself.

Reading the prequel novella Fade-out. Can’t find it listed separately.

Ugh. This book is so annoying, the characters are so annoying. Why so many rave reviews? If I wasn’t reading it for reading group, I would abandon ship.

Why is everyone in the book so horribly annoying?

Finding this fairly dull so far. The stories are so numerous and so short that they end up just washing over me. Will take a break and read something else before I come back to it.

I've finished version 2 now. Quite gloomy reading, but still no real sense of who these people are.

I say page 265, but really I've read the first 100 pages plus the rest of version 1. This was chosen by my reading group and I realised the only way I could finish it was to read it as three separate stories. Version 1 was depressing, I'm guessing the other 2 versions will be in a similar vein. Oh goody... So far, the characters are paper-thin and unlikeable, the story is dull and the format too tricksy to read. :(

I hate these people. I couldn't care less who did what to whom. If I wasn't reading it for my reading group, I would have donated this tedious uninvolving mess to a charity shop already. I just hope there are no more sentences where the blood roared so loudly in her ears that she couldn't hear. Really?? When has this ever actually happened?? Apart from repeatedly to narcissistic bore of the year Rachel. Sheesh.

Still waiting for Darwin to set sail in The Beagle, but enjoying it nonetheless!
