So far pretty good but Ludwig hasn't mentioned anything about pronunciation, which is something that confuses me in the verses he just talked about. The couplets rhyme except the last one, where "eyes" is paired with "fantasies". Was one of these words pronounced differently? If not, can we at least acknowledge they don't rhyme and that can make it awkward for readers trying to understand?

I'm about halfway through - how many other books does this novel contain spoilers for???

Heads up to potential readers - narrator talks about other books. She 100% spoils Never Let Me Go. Do NOT read this mediocre book if you have not first read Ishiguro's incredible book. (There may be spoilers for Joan Didion books but I think most readers go into those already knowing what is revealed in this book.)
