Dimitri is 39% done with Between Men: English Literature and Male Homosocial Desire (Gender and Culture Series)
Great for expanding both my way of thinking about social relationships and feminism, but slow reading. It is often needlessly elaborate. Often, it seems like the author is trying to impress upon an academic audience just how many big words she knows. I'm keeping a record of new words so that at some point in the future I can do the same...

Dimitri is 30% done with Between Men: English Literature and Male Homosocial Desire (Gender and Culture Series)
So far this is very difficult reading. I wish it were easier. Sedgwick enjoys using long, complex sentences, which, when combined with the rather abstract content (writing about what somebody else may or may not have been alluding to in their writing), makes for some tiring but informative reading.
