Wonderful audiobook. Great British narrators, as they should be!

Audio version. Love the authentic accents.

Interesting characters…worthy plot…but very long.

I loved Cutting for Stone many years ago and was quite excited about the new book. LOVEDIT for many pages…. But now, having read about 75% of it, I can’t wait for it to end.It is akin to eating a dish you love but realizing there is just too much of it,and it becomes tortuous to finish it. Just too many words, too many events, too long…

I just had the urge for something easy and light, but well-reviews and we’ll-received. This seems to fill the bill, and I have quickly gotten through 7 chapters…

I have decided to abort this mission. While I was enjoying the concept of the book and was impressed with the skills and the cleverness of the women, I just had too much of the detailed gory, bloody descriptions of the chosen assassination methods, as clinical as they were.Could be a good movie ( I have been selecting the cast), but I am giving up and moving on.

Will this book ever end? I feel as though someone is tricking me by inserting parts of a different book so I have to keep going. Kernel of a good story, but do I really need the whole cob? Will report when finished, should that day arrive!

Started the audio version, and so far I am loving it. Hearing the well-honed voice of Marcellus is a delight. Hope my enjoyment and appreciation continue.

Back to the audiobook…

Audio. Taken away by digital forces. Waiting for audiobook to become available again.

Audio…not driving enough to finish more quickly…but I think I have figured out who the perpetrator is, so now the tension is diminished, and I am anxious to get to the end.

Audio book….did not finish in time, and library electronically removed it. I was about 80% finished and will complete it when I get it back.

Over halfway through, and I am giving up. I got pulled in early on, but I am now bored and do not really care what happens. I love you, Stacey Abrams, and am in awe of all your accomplishments…even finding time and talent to write a political thriller…but you lost me midway through. Sorry 😢
