I’m entertained, but I can already tell this will be a forgettable book.

I put off reading the last book for so long because I don’t want it to end and volume 9 can’t come soon enough!

It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to annotate a book, but this one is absolutely worth it. The writing is filled with lines I know I’ll want to come back to. I’m so glad I grabbed the paperback instead of the audiobook because this wouldn’t have hit the same. I’m worried the ending is going to destroy me (in the best way possible).

What?!? I am not emotionally prepared for this. I had already forgotten this book is told through different perspectives. I thought I lost it during Lillian’s POV (sobbing, by the way), but I have a feeling Jet’s POV will wreck me even more since she’s only a year older than my daughter. This book is hitting me right in the feels. It may be preemptive, but I think this is my number one read of the year.

Honestly, already obsessed with the writing and world they’ve built so far, I just know the middle to end will probably crush me. Not even touching on the fact that it talks about her already having a child he doesn’t know about resonates to me. Fully prepared to be a mess in the best way.

This is just meh so far. I honestly wonder if I need to take a reading pause? I haven’t loved many of the books I’ve read recently. Or maybe I need to read like 5 fluff/palate cleanser books (although I thought this might be that). I’m just not interested yet. And can someone tell me….are they intentionally changing he/she pronouns for one person on purpose? It’s very confusing. Or am I totally missing it?
