She has all these powerful men around her and is acting like she can't trust any of them. It's very tedious and you can tell the mfc is definitely still a teen. How did I miss that? It seems there is a fine line between a strong woman and one that is just a petulant child and authors mostly fail at staying on the right side of the line. At least, she is a teen in this case. So, I can give her a pass.
