I was really excited about this book because I loved this character. This story was disappointing for a variety of reasons. I am disappointed for the character.

This is getting from bad to worse!

The only thing getting me through this is that I know there is another book in this series. This is direction is brutal… so unexpected!!

Who doesn’t love an intelligent squirrel who can give advice?

Wow… Brandon Sanderson has cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. There is so much I want to know…. Trying to remember if the anticipation was this intense in the previous books.

The amount of things they have done to get caught is unreal and nonsensical. Having such a hard time finishing this book.

I plan to finish but this book is not really for me.

I am enjoying this book so far. From page one.

I am wishing I started this series when it was complete. Only a little bit left… and years to wait for a resolution… :(

I am not liking the format of this one so far. Maybe I will try again later.

“The story” section between chapter 19 and 20 is my favorite in the book. I love all the questions so much. Instead of telling me what it is like, asking me what these things might be like paint such a vivid picture for me. It really pulls me into the story.

I am finding this jumping back and forth in time really confusing.

This sister is insane.

Oh wow, this one is really good. Who on earth could be the bad guy?

Lots of twists in this one.

I am wishing I read something like this 7 years ago.

20+ books in, there is definitely a formula to this but JD Robb keeps me invested because of these characters. Each book brings news rites of passage, new depths to my favorite characters.

One thing I love about this story is how the couple work together. You hear of wives supporting husbands in their work but usually not the other way around. I appreciate how supportive Roark is.

This book is well written… I am just waiting to see how this ends.

Oh my gosh, this book is deals with difficult topics! I love the story so far though. She tells the story in a way that I can continue though.

I read a few of the Stephanie Plum books as a teenager and then a few years back, I read all 27+ books back to back. Towards the end, it started to feel repetitive.

But… it has been about two to three years since I read this series. I was between books and thought it might be nice to read a Stephanie Plum novel and it delivers, lightness, humor. Just what I need.

I am seeing how this book has some connection to her other doors series.
