damn this book is insane. I think all parents and educators need to read this.

I'm only on page 10 and I forgot how much Green's words slay me. Every. Single. Time. Damn.

Just realized this novel is *not* about Catherine the Great. Nope, nope. Just Catherine I who was married to Peter the Great. What a bummer. Not sure I'll finish.

something I'm struck by anew by reading this last journal of Nouwen was how committed he was to peace-making, within his own relationships as well as fully engaged with world politics and peace-making efforts there. I'm inspired.

Lol the author just referred to a dessert display of sweetmeats--LOL I don't think the author knows what sweetmeats actually is...#yikes

My husband is hearing me giggle through these stories in the evening, so now he's requesting me read them out loud. Just lovely bedtime reading.
