Apparently, the only ediotion is on Kindle - must be imagining this nice new h/b copy then.

It's been a while since I read 'The Shroud Maker' but this set of characters are so easy to fall back into. This is another absorbing case and the short(ish) chapters make for a quick read. I'll be getting the other 9 of this set from the library before too long.

I'll finish this now I'm at this stage, but between 2 books Sam Holland has managed to include nearly every cliche associated with this genre - laong with some terrible prose.

So far this is really badly written - we've even had a night that was 'silent except for the crackle of burning tobacco.' I've never yet heard a lit cigarette making any kind of noise.
