I like the book. I’m listening on audible. So far my only complaint is the narrators. There are two narrators and they each do a separate chapter. What I don’t like is they also voice the other narrator’s character when it’s their chapter. It sounds ridiculous. Just have them voice their character! The female narrator does a much better job. The male sounds like a man pretending to be a woman. It’s awful.

Spoilers** Jordan is insufferable. She acts like a petulant child by sabotaging Astrid who was literally doing her job. I’m at the point where we find out Jordan’s ex is actually alive I can imagine she left Jordan for making her illness all about herself. Jordan wants a medal for taking care of her sick wife. That’s the BARE MINIMUM of what you do for your partner. Grow up.

Do the narrators of audiobooks not go over their voices for sequels? Why does Casey O’Conner sound like Sam Kennedy? What happened to her Texas accent?

The characters come off as tweens. I wonder if the author changed their age after completing the story but nothing else? So far….Peer pressure to drink? Check! Slut shaming the hot chick everyone wants? Check! Deciding you are soulmates after one day? Check!

It’s like a “how to” book on codependent queer women relationships.

It’s sooo bad. Maybe reading it would be better but the narrator on Audible keeps switching voices. Literally right now on chapter 5 and Taryn’s outside voice is Charlie’s inner voice. No distinction. Also Taryn still sounds like a 10 year old which makes the whole thing feel icky at this point.

It’s slow going. I had to take a break from it. Idk if Sydney is just annoying now or what but it hasn’t been keeping my interest.
