I am... so bored

*buzz lightyear voice* I don't believe this author has ever read a Brontë novel

not going to lie... I'm kind of bored? like, it feels like a chore to read this. which is not ideal.

forgot how much time jkr dedicates to being all: "lol Hermione thinks slave labor is bad. that's cringe" like YIKES my dudes... it's not great.

jk rowling loves going: "here's a mean character. just so you know, they're super fat. like five chins fat. rolls of belly fat, like a pig. have I mentioned they're fat and hairy and thick-necked?"

can I please get some nuance for the female characters? can I PLEASE get some nuance for the female characters?

read a review that said: "There's Berenilde, who's stunningly beautiful and therefore also a complete cow at her core", and this does a good job of summing up how the author describes every female character so far. with the exclusion of the main female character, of course.

I feel like such a fake fan-I've been a massive fan of Jane Austen and her books since I was 14, but I've never read Emma!
