If you’re new here, I have severe ADHD, and Ive been shamed my whole life for being “messy”. I’m (finally) coming out of a serious depression during which I had to quit everything (including my job). This book is amazing and I wish I had read it before now. Everyone should read it - to help those who struggle and to show those who don’t struggle why others might not present perfect pristine homes.

I really need to go back and read physical copies of these. There is so much action, I get swept away in the audiobook and if my mind wanders, I miss so much!

This one was different from the others of hers I have read. I felt the two love stories could have been two separate books, with more time to delve into both. But, overall, it was sweet and fun!

I’m just kind of sad right now and I’m quietly weeping my way through this book. Also I’m having spaghetti for dinner and M&Ms for dessert.

I re-read this book most christmases - I love it. I love the character of Kate, I love the cozy settings, snowy walks, and delicious food. Also it has come full circle as a limited hallmark Christmas series starring Mae Whitman. They have changed a lot about Kate to give her lots of room to grow (because somehow dating is going to make her life all better?). I prefer my very competent and creative book-Kate.

The idea that Charlie is perfectly comfortable in this environment/job and that everyone is instantly accepting of his presence (at least on the surface) is some serious white male nonsense.

This is getting into the scalzi stuff I love - the true sci-fi question of “how would this one difference change society?”

I know I’ve read this at least 3x before, but working on filling gaps in my collection has made me really want to do a massive re-read as an adult. Also I’m not certain which ones I have read, aside from the first 10. I’ve been collecting too long.

I’d like to say that teenage Jen would have walked away from this confrontation, but honestly, she probably would have slapped the shit out of that kid.

This book is very engrossing, but the very slight britishisms distract me.

Emma is every deranged dog mom in this moment. Though if she had a GSD, this book would be way shorter.

I own hundreds of books that I haven’t read, and that’s not including what’s on my Kindle. I have a huge basket that I use to store my library books. It is completely full. I was actually having angsty woe about how many books there are and how I will never read all of the ones I want to. On top of all that, I have my own novel to write. So obviously I’m going to read some fanfiction now.

Sacrilege… but make it hilarious 😂

I like to think of reading very popular fanfic as a middle finger to JK Rowling. Also I’m in a momentary slump and I like the way Knightly turns a phrase.

This book is really interesting and hopeful with the occasional absolute sucker punch in the feels.

I don’t have this marked as read but I definitely remember scenes from the first half. Must have gotten distracted the first time around.

I keep accidentally reading romance series out of order.

Can’t stay up any more. Epilogue tomorrow!
