Never called to check in, even just to make sure you arrived safe and alive. Then they go to berate you bc they think you’re the campus slut and you don’t hear back until you’re beat to a pulp. They are not overprotective, they barely qualify as parents

I truly don’t understand the characters of this book. What do you mean you were interrogated by the police because of bloody evidence found in your room AND YOU JUST WANT TO GO BACK TO THAT ROOM?????! This girl is infuriating and youth is not a reasonable explanation. She’s obtuse.

I’m having the same trouble with this book as I did with Grown by this author. This man has been spewing nothing but nonsense, talking about how he was framed for stealing credit cards and he could afford to buy a condo any time he wanted….then why are you crashing in your little sister’s dorm?? And why do more of yall not find it creepy? Why is there no one with a lick of sense??

Very academic centered to start, which I love but SUPER info dumpy. there is no clever world building, it just feels the author outlined the rules of magic and then put that outline in the first 2 chapters.

This definitely could just be a me thing, a timing thing, but I am finding this 3rd book painful. It's dragging and I'm bored.

I truly am just having a delightful time. Political intrigue, mythology, RAINBOW GLITTER.....just delightful

I don’t know what page I’m on (I’m reading this on audio) but it’s chapter 72. I can’t highlight but I need to document my fury somewhere, because I am so angry I am CRYING. FUCK HEATH AND FUCK BELLA. I am so infuriated. This is SOCIOPATHIC BEHAVIOR. OMG I am so fucking mad. I’m so mad. I’m so mad. And I think Kat not being angry, is making me even more enraged.

I’m really irritated. Roughly 50% in, and we haven’t learned ANYTHING.

Less than 100 pages to go, and I feel like this story should not be that long. Feels like we should be wrapping up at this point
