Loving this so far. Deacon Chalk is a certified bad ass. The story keeps you engaged, although it does tend to repeat itself in some spots. However one flaw, in the epic tale of monster killing goodness, is alright by me. It's gonna kill me to have to wait for the next book to be released!

Still enjoying this one. The jumps back and forth from present to past are a little easier to handle. Only thing that annoys me are the seemingly constant references to modern day pop culture.
