“what is going on?” i ask myself for the hundredth time as i read this book. confused, enthralled, pensive — there are so many different ways this book has me feeling. i’m seriously obsessed. one moment I think I have the plot figured out, the next i’m second guessing myself.

never imagined myself reading a western romance, but a western romantacy i can get behind.

cozy, compelling, and the inner monologue of both characters is so relatable.

So far loving the mafia/fantasy vibes. Needing more badass fmc moments :(((

This book is so insanely profound in the many layers of friendship, trauma, grief, and the possible effects of political polarization. I am currently at a very heart wrenching scene between the two protagonists, and have been near tears several times throughout this book.

this one singular night is lasting so long, and i am SAT for the entire thing.

i swear they are both BOLD asf. i feel like i got hit by a bus.

ch 25-26…..i do NOT handle secondhand embarrassment well omfg

the banter? love it. i crave more storylines about the social scene of the college. but that may just be my “Zodiac Academy” obsession coming out.

hates physical touch and heroics? This man is my soulmate.

everyone needs to read this book during the fall. the amount of spooky it gives is amazing.

I know I should go to bed because it's nearly 3am, and I KNOW I shouldn't start a new book right now…but my kindle is literally on my bed which is BASICALLY a sign :)

you know that empty feeling you get when you finish a really good book? i alr know that’s gonna occur once im done reading this masterpiece

i’m now fully addicted to this book and cannot put it down. when i got to the “who was responsible for this” part i knew i wasn’t getting anything else done today.

oh my god. the unveiling of the devils mansion? I do feel at times that the small reveals are a bit predictable, but I still eat them up regardless😌

Love the build up towards the competition. The spooky vibes are PRESENT, reading this book makes me crave all things Halloween.

these two are crazyyyy. the comedy in this book is so good tho
