DNF. Too gruesome for my taste unfortunately… if you don’t mind more graphic depictions you would probably love it. The writing was great

The main character, Harper, is SUPER annoying. I'm curious to see how this book plays out, and I'm halfway done so I guess I need to just stick with it...but Harper might really make me not finish.

ALSO, using the F word 20 times in a page is just lazy writing. You know why classics are classics?! Because the writing was impeccable. Contemporary writing is trash, the end.

I made it to chapter 3....and I'm going to DNF. I know somebody had mentioned trigger warnings in this book, but that's hard to find on goodreads. TRIGGER WARNING FOR PEOPLE WHO STRUGGLE WITH INFERTILITY, MISCARRIAGE, ETC. I just suffered two miscarriages in a row.... and one of the main characters openly hates her pregnancy, and tries to end the pregnancy herself several times. It's gross.

Such a great first book of a series

I do not read much fantasy..at all. But I enjoyed this…perfect mix of fantasy and romance. Not too steamy until the end ;) I already purchased the next two books because sometimes it’s just nice to read some fantasy and leave the world of WW3 amiright?
