Gosh it felt quite disappointing at the end. Maia being so happy and normal after finding out such deep information about her past is too unbelievable but I've still enjoyed it, it was an easy read. Not sure if I'll continue with the series but I may do...

It was quite an intriguing book but it's getting ridiculous now. Because it's just lost all its momentum with the modern day activities. I'm really bored. Bel kept me on edge with her rebellious nature in olden days when traditional, confirmative behaviour is expected from women. What makes it worse is society still judges women on such issues. People feel like they've evolved and modernised when a lot more is needed

So far quite a good page turner. Still lacks a bit of sauce and realness but nice and feels good style and mysterious. It covers the restrictions of old traditions like arranged / forced marriages and women's constraints in the past. I felt it might not be that good but despite agreeing with some of the negative stuff people said, I am definitely enjoying it a lot more than I expected.

I'm really loving this one. The only annoying thing is the characters don't have any names or anything, which makes it kind of mysterious and artsy.

I am going to put this away as well. I just found it quite triggering and a lot of random characters as well which makes it hard to follow at times. Although I do love the overall themes to do with child protection services in a dystopian society.
