Getting into this I completely forgot everything from Wicked (since musical and movie adaptations differ from the literature). So far the chapters are reading fast (at no. 5) and I kinda dig that even if most of the descriptions are kinda going over my head (it's been so long since reading Wicked and I never finished the series -each book either wasn't interesting or it was just hard for me to get through).

Finally got to the murder as mentioned in the prologue. Not exactly the middle of the book, so let's see how this plays out with the remaining chapters.

Slightly skimming through. This reads like the Agatha Christie adaptation movies. Slow paced to the build up. I'm not disinterested, but I anticipate this read taking me a while.

I haven't read any Agatha Christie, but have watched two movies based on her books and as chapter 1 ended I feel a theme here since the description mentions it's similar to her books. Might be something easier to watch than to read, but we'll see how it goes.

Finally at the half way mark do we see some action!

I guess I didn't know what to expect reading this book, but hearing the woes of someone's existence is oddly interesting even if unnecessary.
