thinking about dnf-ing this version and switching to the English one since my little brain could not comprehend it alone without the English version
i thought chuyển ngữ from Jap to VNI would be less challenging and more semantically accurate but ...

currently reading and pushing myself through the other half of the book
it was stressful and a reminder of a lot of my repressed trauma
it is not totally alike since it was/and still is something more familial than romantic
but it still hurts, not as much, but it hurts
i also like how her footnote is insightful to the content of each 'chapter' (that i like to call unit of meaning/or fragment of the past)

just a note to self but i also had to be reminded that the main character is dead as the story moves on
strange

currently feeling a bit puzzled by the emotional progression of the main character. a bit too rushed and lack of bot a more expansive and in-depth introspection for me to actually be persuaded by the character's development; if not then i'm relying mostly on my suspension of disbelief

A well-written prose tbh : D the content is not that new for me but it still helps to connects the dots about modernism and how it pervaded Vienna in the 1900s

Its kinda devastated to think about how a country so well-developed and was at its peak got wrecked by ww2

well i think i better reserved my words before going further into the book

the fragmentation from the daily activities of different characters produced a sense of calmness before the storm (figuratively and literally) that dracula brought when he attempted to reach England
