Okay, one of my only grievances with this series, is the back and forth with the facts. Svenn is a vampire and it's said and shown many times throughout, how great and powerful he is....yet he's struggling to lift a body rn?? And in the brothel.... they're struggling to escape the guards but why didnt he just create a portal like he did the other day for them to travel? It doesn't add up and irritates me.

OH. MY. GOD. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST IVE NEVER SEEN COMING- HOLY SHITTTTT !!! this book is so good 😭😭😭

Forgot to post that I've been reading this...the reviews that mention how this seems a lot like a Fourth Wing knockoff are accurate. It's definitely rushed, author could slow down and put a bit more detail in there, a little more depth and even connection between the characters... just seems like she's trying so hard to make this what fourth wing became-in like 300 pages. It could do with a lil more slowburn, also.

That escalated quickly.... overlooking that, i can happily say it's giving me flashbacks to my own wedding, putting on the dress and doing the bridesmaid reveal.... such happy memories ☺️

I didn't expect to like this so much. I can tell im going to read through it fast. The author writes so well, it's so easy to read, and the banter and flirting between the mmc and fmc is *chef's kiss* I didnt feel like it was insta-love(which can be so tacky) but a perfect build up to the romance, so far. The author has done a very good job of creating likeable characters that you can feel connected to(tearing up rn)

I'm finally coming out of a reading hiatus...life is slowing down & I remembered I still had to finish this book, which is feeling like such a chore tbh... this book def gives 2nd book vibes. Idk if it's just me, but it's been hard to get through. It almost feels like a slow burn & Nash & Lina both annoy me. I'm more excited to read the 3rd book w Lucian tbh.
