OK really like the writing but don't really care for Lorelei.

Ok, 69% into the book and I'm getting bored. I'm not sure why exactly though. Maybe there's just not enough action throughout. It's cute and entertaining but not gripping. I could put it down now with only mild curiosity about what happens next.

I feel like this book was written by two people. The view point of Charles was extremely detailed about people's actions during conversation. One example is when Charles is in the tank marching on Sou'nd, there was an unhealthy fascination with one of his soldiers nose. Running, snuffy, sneezing, etc. The viewpoint of George however, is seriously missing details.

I find the main character, Cassie, a little annoying. Her complainy-whiny-sarcastic personality is rubbing me the wrong way. I think the author means her to be funny but I just find her annoying. The story is interesting though.

Having a hard time getting into this one. Too much local slang that I don't understand for one.
