After two years, I decided to start reading this again.

Good as usual. Set aside while I am working on some books for work.

The story is cute but drags out it’s minimal message. so far, everything could have been done in about 15 pages. It is good if you haven’t been exposed to this type of content, or need some convincing - or if you need to slow your mind down to think about things. That being said, it’s a very simple read.

Work book club read. Like so far. It is an interesting mix of simple and complex. Too many words used to say simple things.

Enjoying so far. It is really appealing to both my intuitive side and my reasoning side.

Early European history is a huge knowledge gap for me so I am learning a lot. Enjoying the book though it was difficult to start. Grammar, sentence structure, and writing techniques causes for very slow reading. In some spots I felt like a high school senior in PhD class. It did get back further in. You can tell what the writer is passionate, and not passionate, about.

Spending a bit less time reading now that the summer weather has rolled around. Enjoying the book but because I've been sporadic I have to keep going back and reminding myself who all the characters are.

Slow going. Forgot Moorcock's style can be a bit challenging for an easy read.

Where are the 'broken windows' in your professional life? Find them, fix them and you'll probably be surprised at what happens! Loving this book!

From Sesame Street to Blue's Clue's. Intriguing so far!

Find myself thinking "Ha! We all aren't created equal" Interesting so far.

Was given as a birthday gift by my lovely wife and children. I think they like to see me smile and hear me roar with laughter and nothing does those things like Bill Bryson. So far so good!

So far so good, but I wouldn't expect anything else from Bill.

Not sure where they get that this book is 301 pages, it is much less than that - an dmost of the last 40 pages is cross-reference and bibliography - although that may be as interesting as the book itself.

Well . . . not the most exciting book but Thoreau's writing has a certain relaxing quality to it. Makes me want to go out in the woods and just sit.

Thoreau's last work. Assembled and published less than 20 years ago. So far, getting through the Intro has been drudgery, hopefully the eal content will be better!

Needed Bill's wit. After the last book, and work stress, needed something a little more humorous!

Done, finally. Incredible book - particularly if you enjoy history and sociology. I am glad it wasn't overtly political or pessimistic.

Read a few pages 1 or 2 times a day to 'reset my brain while I am working. Learn something new every time I pick it up. Love this book, will be sorry when it is done.

Continues to be a fascinating book. Am on the part now about how the Inuit and Greenland Vikings came into conflict as one of the catalysts' for the Greenland Vikings demise.
