1.5⭐️I’ll try be gentle. I think this book was drawn out, the plot isn’t strong enough to carry momentum/justify the length. The synopsis holds so much promise but I don’t think the payoff delivers, it feels like a maze and the reveal is flat. Characters feel 2D, we don’t see real reason to hate, love or be weary of them. Except the two at the start, Alex feels one way but you can see it’s not reality.
