This was super funny… loved it.

This book is as great I could see what I’ve never seen before. The writing and story kept me very interested. A bit creepy. Loved it.

This book is a riot… although not intentionally so. It’s kind of like getting a lecture from your great grandma with all the best intentions. I’m not sure there’s any solid advice in here but it sure is funny.

Please just be brilliant and WRITE the book. Please please PLEASE have someone else perform them…this is what actors are for! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ok so the reviews on this book are stellar. I just saw there is a Netflix series based on it. I’m half way through and reading it is like getting a tooth pulled. What is the big to do??? If you read this book, please tell me if there is something beyond the half way mark...a turn around? An escape from vulgar language and unnecessary teenage sex scenes??? Something?? Anything???

Kinda pushin’ it a bit, right? The “swamp trash” quotes poetry and Einstein...? I appreciate the sentiment and I’m all for long shots and magical thinking but this is....unsettling and a kind of thievery of the character’s actual history, nature and experience.

This book is so fucking depressing. Please. God. Bring me a library book in hold. Please.

OK. Here’s a little proves that I’m not a natural blonde! I can’t put this book down! I read some nonfiction, but I rarely, if ever, read philosophy. This book is cool!

This book is WAY too long.

I love love LOVE this book.

If you pick it up, do NOT get the audiobook. Although it is fun to hear the author mention places I know (it is set in atlanta) the reader is perhaps the worst I have ever heard. Despite her poor attempts at a southern accent, she is clearly from Canada. Her Atlantan accent is so bad it almost comes across as...racist. This is like getting a tooth pulled. Not sure I'll make it, wish me luck!
