Um... the beginning was interesting. Kind of was intrigued by the crazy bit.
But now its a weird rushed " rogue from xmen" power thing, story.
With a sort of love triangle?
I'm slowly but steadily loosing interest... and this is only book one -_-.
It could be my overall mindset right now.

Took me a minute to change gears from the books I was reading before. But now I'm getting into this, well. I'm waiting for the moment she shuts those regents down! This is frustrating!

Ok, listen. This has got to be some toxic relationship mess man. I mean, the first time that guy hit me like that I would have dipped out on him. I can't understand his loyalty to him when he beats him and gets him into messes. When the doc is kind and such. I would have tattled the first chance I got. But let's say I didn't then I just wouldn't have shown up. I'm mad at him for letting the guy do this to him.

I'm trying really hard to get into this. But I can't. It's kind of confusing, the stone kids and the sirin hate, and the Elocos ( which I still don't 100% understand what they are.) And the random gargoyle...
I kind think Effie is a gorgon. What with her hair doing its own thing, the fact I think she might have turned those kids to stone on accident. And some lore had mermaid like gorgons.

Um... what? People know about sirens? Or is it something different?

Of course this is another one of those books I put off for who-knows-why, and now am mad at myself for waiting to read it. Though, on one hand, it means I don't have to wait for the series to be finished.

I was real.close to thinking this was about to be about 👽 aliens. But, nope, it's not... or at least it doesn't seem like it is anymore.

Ok, it makes a bit more sense now. But... not why she is older. And not who the guy on the island is.

This really isn't my cup of tea. It's slow and might be horror, might be just a crazy girl talking.
I think I'm only really still reading it to see if she really did kill her friend, and if someone's playing tricks on her or something.

I had previously had this on my DNF list. I think I just wasn't feeling it at the time. Now, I'm able to get into it. Its funny how our mood effect stuff like this.
