And this is the part where I'm singing like a fucking canary cause I'm not taking the blame for shit after she tried to set me up. Nope.

So far this book is split into 3 sections. Mind, body and soul. I completed the Mind section and had to pat myself on the back for already incorporating a majority of the suggestions in that section. I just started the Body section and now here is where I'm learning some things 🧡 to be continued...

Ok I feel like this book is very toxic. Like first her bf that she's pining over never stood up for her and she won't let him go. It's getting annoying. Then she was "sad and drunk" enough to screw with some man who just disrespected her over and over again? Just to feel better?
Theeeennn her so called friend Darcy is so condescending and I'm trying to figure out why are they friends? Like ew

The story is getting a little bland. Its war war war, and war tactics thrown in there. I just think something needs to move this story a little faster. I'm surprised Darrow made it as far as he did, considering how scary he can be sometimes. He pulls his wisdom out of his ass apparently. At this point I want him to meet up with Jackal and be done with it? Why drag out the inevitable?

Let's just say things got more interesting! I love a good academy/camp feel 🤤 and the roman mythology references are just 💋

OK things got intriguing I admit! Killing off the wife was a good idea because I do feel like main character wouldn't have done anything if he wasn't forced into it. Now that he's in it, he suddenly had drive...yet he also knows the truth too.

Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable about a 16 year old boy and a 14 year old girl are married and fucking and have grown folks conversation? Like it feels more like 20 and 18 at the very LEAST!

I get WHY its done though. To show the culture and lifespan of this colony OK on Mars. For them to get married so young means they die even younger. Ugh. This book.

I wish I could read all the books on my list. Like super read, I wish I could read as fast as Reed on Criminal Minds, I would be so happy to gobble down all these stories at a faster pace. -le sigh-

TBH I want to drop all these books and reread Children of Blood and Bone or Strange The Dreamer. Those were my top 2 fantasy reads of the year so far.

I have no idea what I picked up but it's suppose to be a short one but my Libby app tells more over 500 pages but goodreads say 293? Oh well. Putting this read on pause so I can focus on Beneath the Sugar Sky but I can't wait to get back to this because I never read a book about a character who has a sex addiction. Interesting right?
