Amazing.

Listening to the audio. I don’t like the voices of the different characters. Turns out there is a Jewish character.

I’m listening and appreciate the back and forth, different readers for the two characters.

The power of social setting. Gentle social pressure and we sustain worse electric shock than otherwise.

Surprising statistical facts, students learn nothing. But surprising stories, students learn.

Subjects unwilling to infer the particular from the general, were very willing to infer the general from the particular.

Base rate. How many people rush to help when they think someone else will step up and help? 27% in the study. Basic answer, not many.

In the absence of new useful information, decisions should be made relying only on base rate. New information shouldn’t (but usually will) change our decision unless the information is USEFUL.

I should have read this years ago.

So far, one teacher and one parent who are reliable. Mostly adults not useful. Teen characters are great.

I really like the reader. Seriously intense story.

Listening to the section about BDS.

It turns out I love a mystery where the murder happens at the beginning and the puzzle is how the detectives will figure it out.

I’m listening at 1.5 speed and enjoying it more. The reader reads SO slowly! At 1.5 speed I like it a lot. The owls are great.

This book is so important. But at this point it also feels relentless.

Captivating.

Intense and beautiful so far.
