Still familiarising with characters and not having a thorough knowledge of events and people surrounding the French Revolution it will all be new to me. However I do remember the name Robespierre somewhere in my past reading. Am enjoying learning history with well created real characters and events

Wow. I promised myself that I would read this book and its sequel Bring up the bodies preferably before the next one in the series comes out this year but what a challenge. I love historical novels but because I was not a history fan at school I am having great difficulty in getting into this one. I shall persevere!!

I am over half way through this sad book - Thank God there are some happy moments.
