2 of 2 - ...new and interesting in the first book, now feel a bit stale. I think it's time to move on. Hopefully that's what's coming in Part II.

1 of 2 - I'm about done with Part I and so far, I prefer this story structure to the episodic nature of the first one. Though it does lack the "epic" feel that jumping so far through space and time gave the original book.
