The series is finally complete, and I put off continuing on until I could finish it all in one go. I have binge reread the previous 3 books and am very eager to revisit old friends (and enemies) while embarking on new missions. I am sure there will be more heartache ahead, but I am so excited nonetheless.

It is very unfortunate that the author has included a Lakota character who uses Lakota vocabulary, but clearly, no research was done regarding the pronunciation of these words for the audiobook. It is a missed opportunity. It would have been nice to have a second voice actor who speaks the language included in this audiobook. At the least, a quick Google would have provided the necessary information.

Villavicencio is a badass. Her storytelling is beautiful and unapologetic. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

This is the most beautiful book I have read this year. I am in love with this art style.

Prehaps because I have recently read 2 other memoirs that take a hard look at the authors' formative years, but Smith seems to unnecessarily romanticize her youth to the point of boring me.
