I absolutely loved it! Kept me intrigued and guessing outcome from the beginning. I loved how past and present , Spain, Afghanistan and Canada were tied throughout. At the end I just wanted more!!! First time I've read anything on Spanish Republican children escaping Spanish Civil War and definitely want to read more

Short stories that seem, almost all, to somehow relate to El cementerio de los libros olvidados. And all with a clear window to his beloved Barcelona. So sad we won't be reading any more magic from Ruiz Zafon

Loved the photographs that show the strong cultural pride in country.

Though it's not something I would normally pick for myself, I must say I had a good laugh at times and hated the gory bits. An unexpected ending so suspense was well kept throughout. Easy reading and a good thriller novel

Though it's not a book I would have picked up myself., I could not put it down till finished. Family bonds and the power they can have over someone. All families have their own secrets though this one may have a shameful one. Is the mother's lack of affection towards her children to blame for how things turned out? I definitely enjoyed the suspense

I really enjoyed this trilogy. Ken Follett never deceives me.

I love how it gave me a different perspective to this mad part of the world. I was torn between both sides. Really enjoyed it and could hardly put it down
