Do I like this book? Sort of? The author is obviously smart, but… it’s a bit meh

So far seems like a speculative fiction with magical realism that I thought was maybe a gritty retelling of Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe set in Toronto, but now it seems a bit more like Alice in Wonderland.

This book has had me from the first page. It’s more literary than I usually read, but it’s sooo good.
