This book is written in present tense. I hope I get used to it soon because my brain keeps trying to tweak it to be past tense and it's distracting XD

Gosh.... now I'm torn between wanting to read Where the Dark Stands Still and re-reading An Enchantment of Ravens...

.... Ok.... this scene was just straight up ripped from Beauty and the Beast....

Heck yeah book didn't make me wait long to meet the fairy man!

I feel like I haven't been reading enough manga. I've basically only been reading new ones as they come out then putting them back on my shelf and focusing on novels or the non-reading stuff I need to do.

I think I'm going to try to make it a habit to read at least one manga a day

This is officially the first book I'm annotating by writing in it.

I was too chicken to go in with a pen as planned, though. At least for the moment.

Hmph. Apparently thanks to some people in another store not being able to keep their noses out of their phones, corporate has decided to punish all of us by banning devices for everyone.

Pretty sure collective punishment's a war crime but whatever.

This throws a wrench into my plan to thin my kindle library. But thankfully paper books are still allowed.

My distractible mind forgot that this was supposed to be one of the next ones on my list haha

I'm having some issues with this book. Like.... not enough to make me dnf but enough to where I think that it's probably not going to win the Kindle Game

A pity because there's several things about it I like a lot

I ordered a few more kindle books... two that are left in a kindle-only series I already have three of, and 4 that are quite probably going to be the last "OG Kindle Game" contenders.

Soon will begin the new Kindle game of "can I read everything on my kindle before it breaks because I'm not getting a new one for a good long time if ever"

Apparently Amazon is suspending services for certain kindles and my paperwhite is one of them?!?

How bloody rude?!?!

I figured out a plan for my never-ending TBR shelf issue!

I wanted a way to do short sprints but that's kind of impossible when you're a chronic mood reader that keeps adding and swapping books on your TBR shelf.

It's the "Book It" system!

Seems obvious to me now but I need to focus more on a tally system for books completed rather than an actual physical shelf of books.

I think soft-planning how I'd cram illustrations and/or color into the margins and open spaces of books has elevated my reading experience.

I need to pick a book and do it already! But It has to be a re-read and I still wanna thin my to-read shelf...

I got caught up with the Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling manga and I cracked open the fourth light novel to see where the new content starts and... it starts in the last quarter of the book.

Can I count the book as a read for the challenge if I only read the last quarter, or is that cheating?

This year I want to chill with the book buying a bit.

The past couple of years I've had a goal to beef up my bookshelves. I'm not unhappy with that goal -I've found some really great stuff!- but it's also sort of left me feeling a bit... over-consumery

I'll continue to collect vols for series I'm in the middle of, but mostly I want to sit with what I have. Re-read some of my new manga, tackle my novel tbr list

I have completed my first short story! \(^u^)/

Now... about five or six left to go before I can publish it in its collection.
