If you enjoy a fast paced, adrenaline pumping read, this is the series for you. So far, this one tops them all. You'll move quickly from one disaster to another -- both physical, and emotional. Okay, it's pretty unrealistic, but I found that I could not put this one down.

Although this is moving rather slowly and has a bit of repetition (which annoys me), I must say that according to my training in the public sector, the author's portrayal of addiction and its affect on family members is very accurate. Insecure home environments truly create trauma in children. Trauma increases the chance of teenagers making unwise decisions.

Oh my! And humor, too!

I tend NOT to read Biblical fiction because often the fiction gets mixed in my brain with the facts. But THESE ARE facts that we may tend to forget.

I’m having to read this slowly because there are so many beautiful passages with so much to ponder. I’m reading a library loan. I may have to buy the kindle version so I can reread, highlight and make notes.

I just started this book and I already think I know this setting! SO cool— or rather hot and sticky with lots of mosquitoes…
