I’m not a big proponent of ghosts as a whole. This one didn’t work for me as a mystery or as a ghost story. I enjoyed the characters, though, especially the blogger who is working through her own PTSD.

I am not enjoying. Dracula, werewolves, Lovecraft, Frankenstein. Friends. If I want a diversity and friends book I can find better.

Enjoyed the world built where nature was considered to have rights. Thought the story about trying to stop some mercenaries and the troubles they caused good. Reminded me of “Star Wars”.

I liked the idea of a pre WW 2 book where Germany and England made a peace and Hitler is carrying out his agenda in Europe and Russia and Great Britain gets Africa as their part of the deal. Lindbergh is president of the US. The mystery is pretty obvious, but the world quite interesting.

Waiting on part 2. I think they should be published together.

I like the dynamics between the investigator and his boss. Very Nero Wolf and Archie Goodwin.

I liked how the strengths and weaknesses of were highlighted as Ellis discussed Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe in turn.

Kingfisher wins again. More mature characters well developed and the girl who is being manipulated and used by her mother quite believable too.

Fun, the characters steal the mystery so you don’t care who committed the murder. Poison ivy figures in this book.

A blend of a comedy of manners and psychological parent abuse.
