two chapters in & i'm already devastated

i'm barely 100 pages in, but i already know this is a book every person should read. what it is describing is horrible, but it is history and we cannot forget.

maybe it's just the psych major in me but i feel like her dreams are her trying to take control over her life, given she has a shitty husband. like i will not ignore he raped her.

let's ignore that i haven't picked up this book in over a year
