Not at all like the show. You don’t spend much time with the characters and I feel the story has a very fast space, again leaving not much room to explore/learn much about the world.

So much flowery descriptions. Take a lot of energy to read. I have no bond with the characters, nor real investment in the story. Am considering to DNF.

“Ouderwetse” rolverdeling: vrouwen maken thee (worden niet tijdens de planning betrokken, krijgen alleen te horen wat het idee is en dan mogen ze wat zeggen?) en de mannen besluiten. Van de mannen horen we wat ze als werk deden en de vrouwen worden niet genoemd.

Epic does not mean long drawn out descriptions etc. And again with the weird “attractiveness” of the female characters.

Why are the majority of the women described by attractiveness? The men are just described as short, combed back hair, gray haired, wrinkles, but nowhere: when he was younger he was attractive or even though his hair was gray he still looked handsome. Lots of names: I can’t really tell them apart.

Not sure I am interested enough in the story to be with the MCs whom I do not really like.
