It feels like this book was made to make Percy seem so useless. He barely has any fighting times and when he does, he gets knocked around and can hardly help. I get letting other characters shine but why at the expense of one of the most powerful demigods? Rick did his best characters absolutely no favors. The best book of the series by far was Son of Neptune.

Yeah. I like this a LOT better than the first book. I know Percy is a huge part of that reason but I honestly feel like Rick Riordan did a better job with this book. I also really really like Frank and Hazel. They are really well written and I got attached to them right off the bat. Great characters and perfect friends for Percy.
