I’ve read other books by this author and I’ve enjoyed them. This book has a democratic haze. What’s that? Today’s issues and people have been dropped in a storyline that doesn’t need them. I read as enjoyment and a way to escape. I don’t want any political issues in a story unless I choose that kind of book. It’s really a disappointment that I even need to review that.

I have been frustrated try to find a book I enjoy that isn't silly. At times I find Jillian's approach toward AJ aggressive, I find myself laughing throughout the story but I haven't gotten lost. You know, sometimes you can get lost in the words and live in the story. Then Jillian has the flashbacks to Jessica. I thoroughly enjoy the Jessica and Luke story and can't wait for her to reminisce.

The characters are grating on my nerves and have been. if it weren't for the weak storyline, I would be done reading. Grow up. When you are in your 30s and dating, you expect everyone to have a past. Communicate like an adult, not a 12 year old. it is taking everything I have to continue reading.
