It took a little bit to get into this, just because of how massive the world is, but I genuinely really enjoyed it. The characters are nuanced, morally grey, and besides from being pretty certain everything that can go wrong will go wrong, I could never tell where the story was going. When I realized the reveal I couldn’t put it down, couldn’t sleep till I finished it. So excited to read the next book.

Finally got through all his random rants about crows nests, whale subspecies, the eating order on ships, and the definition of "gam". Thank God for plot again!

The new hated character: Malta!
You beg her to pleaaaaase don't be so selfish, pleaaaaaase have empathy and she takes your fragile hope and smashes it on the ground

Already sobbed three times and not even half way through

Also, I've had enough of kennet, so despicable and annoying

This book is hilarious

WHAT THE HELL is going on.
Lol

I resisted the craze for so long, and now I just can't get enough of Ilya and shane

Everyone's been ranting about it and yeah....I'm devouring the book

Wtf.....like seriously wtf

I don't usually highlight/annotate books but this one has so many beautiful passages that I can't resist

Really enjoying this, should read satire more often

It's good, but there's only so many times you can read a retelling of the same story, I think this iteration has taken me....1 year? Almost 2? Because of this

Wtf

Enjoying this as in I can't put it down, and I can never decide whether I feel sorry for any of the characters cause of what happened to them, or if I hate the characters cause of how they are after what happened

Got it back on my eReader! Omg I was so excited to discover Christopher Paolini wrote another book and I'm just loving it!!!!!!

Was just getting into it and it vanished from my ebook 😭😭

A beautiful happy ending just occurred but the Gothic horror book has two more chapters, suspicious

"sweeter must one kiss be, snatched from the Rosy lips of the first then all the lustful favours bestowed so freely from the second" ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
But honestly, such a good/complex book about corruption

Absolutely Loving this book

Really enjoying this

12 year old me wishes to resurface
I must read the angst
