Ramakrishnan almost lost me in the middle with some heavy science parts, but now I’m learning that transfusions of young blood into older mice actually help them??

Also, he’s not too keen on the folks freezing their bodies and brains, but damn it’s fun to read about

Voting in the Opening Round of the Goodreads Choice Awards is my favorite. I only vote for books with an absolute 0.0% chance of winning and I feel so good about it!

Max Gladstone writes like he knows he’s clever and somehow I find it delightful instead of irritating, what a treasured miracle!

Trying to get through this before an author event for the NEXT book in the series… Good thing the story is action-packed and it’s super fun to see the gang all together!

Holly Black named the nonprofit I used to work for - the Drug Policy Alliance - in this book!!! A wealthy character, who is good (at least so far), is described as having donated to the org. How freaking unexpected and cool!!

If your library hold on the next Singing Hills Cycle novella comes in on pub day, you drop everything and start reading it. I don't make the rules

Stefanie is on page 196 of 336 of Our Moon: How Earth's Celestial Companion Transformed the Planet, Guided Evolution, and Made Us Who We Are
Just finished a chapter that reminded me how this dude Ptolemy developed an intricate and WRONG theory of planetary movement in like 100 CE…and it didn’t get corrected for a full-on *millennium and a half*. (Shoutout Copernicus, Galileo, and an unassuming British dude, Thomas Harriot!)

I know it’s a misnomer, but this has got to be a huge contributor to why we called it “the Dark Ages.”
