This is a difficult book.

Finally got a copy of this linguistic, typographic, and publishing monstrosity for the low low price of $700 + shipping + taxes. It is formidable. The adventure begins!

this sucker's absolutely phenomenal. unless it goes completely ass-over-end in the last third, it'll have been the best book i've read in at least three years.

gonna go ahead and admit i've read about all the journals of sylvia plath at this point i need to. about two hundred pages left. onward!

this has been something of a slog, which i was admittedly warned about. very academic, none of the verve nor panache of *the dark enlightenment*

this is just Høiland-Jørgensen's PhD dissertation from Karlstad University. being a CS PhD dissertation, it's nine published papers bound together. pretty important papers, though.

the book has lost a bit of coherence, kinda disintegrating into various essays.

my knowledge of 19th and 20th century philosophy is nowhere near sufficient to make much sense of this early (very academic) stuff. skipping ahead!
