Just because I'm reading it doesn't mean I haven't read it, before, in many cases many times.

Just because I am currently reading it doesn't mean I haven't read it before, in many cases twice, in many cases many more times.

=)

I am in the middle of too many books.

QUALITY over QUANTITY.

Read DEEPLY rather than PERVASIVELY.

If I had my druthers, I would read THESE 18 books this year:

THE INSTITUTE
WAR & PEACE
THE STAND
OLIVER TWIST
MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING
INVISIBLE MAN
THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
PET SEMATARY
A PORTRAIT OF THE ARTIST AS A YOUNG MAN
ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST
EAST OF EDEN
ENDER'S GAME
THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF BENJAMIN FRANKIN
HOW TO READ A BOOK
DELIVERANCE
HAMLET.

I don't know if I'll ever read 1,000 books. What's more important to me is just that I enjoy life. If I read the same books over and over again, and never get to all 1,000 new books, Lord forgive me.

My favorite books are books that can be read in a day. Other than that, I love Eastern Religion.

Lots of time to read. It is my primary occupation, along with music. I also keep up a blog at georgesladecole.blogspot.com, if you feel like reading it. I think I am going to try to finish 1,000 books before I die, but so far, I have only completed 330. I enjoy rereading more than I enjoy reading something new, usually, but I guess that is the work of reading.
