7 Aug ‘26: I just finished Annihilation. I loved the internality of it; the rumination, the obsession, the true sense of self that I get from the character. At its core I think this is a story about love, which I wasn’t expecting but I appreciated nonetheless. I think it grapples well with the idea that the search for meaning is absurd in and of itself. 4.25.
