So far interesting, I’m reading about the main protagonist Paul and how him and his peers started out on the German front. Doesn’t shy away showing what these young men of iron had to go through, lets see what happens.

The book is fantastic! A series of short stories about Geoffs encounters with a Jacky Steven’s. It paints a picture of the west coast, history and culture. I find the conversations to be very interesting, humorous and insightful into a man’s state of mind and the hermits green serpent. Sad to be finishing this book soon.

Jen’s has now been taken by the gestapo. What I like is the extreme detail surrounding a cow that was hit by shrapnel, and how they could kill it without permission. It’s certainly a reflection of Nazi Germany back in the day.

With the theme of duty in the book clearly defined, I do find Siggi to be torn between loyalty and this sense of duty. I wonder why he ended up in this asylum

I’m really loving this book. Been on and off but all the characters are intriguing the plot is fantastic and the story is full of adventure and fantasy. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next for Lyra! And head over to the subtle knife.

I am just loving getting back into this book again after a long hiatus! It’s such easy reading and the thrilling adventure of Lyra is just superb. I do like how it’s a race against the bad guys, with a magic realism setting!

I have just finished chapter 16. I find the point where Van Helsing and his companions confront the Vampire Lucy. It’s a real tragedy for the men that love Lucy so dear, but I find it very terrifying and unique. It’s sublime and fully enveloped in horror and suspense.

I am finding the book to be quite gripping, eerie and certainly atmospheric. Jonathan Harkers diary does help with painting his imprisonment at count draculas castle to be quite riveting and like a forboading doom that’s about to come over him.

The sense of adventure and fantasy. I love the description of the northern lights and how the bear had gotten his armour. Now they are on the journey again.

I think the adventure is starting to take off now. They have found the armour bear and need to get his armour back .

I’m finding this intriguing, fancifully set in reality, but setting out with adventure. I’m quite drawn into Lyna’s story so far.

I do love this book. It’s such an adventure, I have been reading reeeading this each time.
