Picked this up for a dollar at the local library so why not!

I'm almost 200 pages in and nothing's really hooked me yet; it's just been a lot of set-up. Which is annoying because by this time in the first book the central mystery had been revealed and really drew me in. I would appreciate earlier thrills in my thriller novel.
