I've read so many trash books recently it's time to go back to basics....

All the women in the story, so far, don’t have a voice and that’s the point, it’s the 1500s. What isn’t connecting with me is that it’s being narrated by a character that doesn’t have a personality besides being frustrated that she can’t do more with her life. She isn’t interesting in the least because things just happen to her and the author doesn’t seem to bother go deeper with who she is.

This book is so hard for me to get through. I really want to like it but it’s slow and boring. The main character has no personality at all. I also feel like the feminist messaging is so heavy handed that it falls flat. I really hope it gets better but it’s a chop for me so far.

So at some points i feel like i really love this book, but then it gets abstract and confusing and it makes me feel dumb and i dont know whats going on so i'm not really enjoying it. Then i start to understand and its good again.

This book reminds me of good tv shows I watched when I was in high school. Very guilty pleasure.

Okay so love dolly alderton, I do enjoy her writing, my only tiff with this book is it’s from the prospective of a straight man going thru a breakup which isn’t the perspective I’m at all interested in. He’s also like kinda depressing. Tho still manages to be relatable.

Okay so love the authors voice in this very funny and interesting. My only issue with the book is there's not much plot driving the story. Like I enjoy while I'm reading but I'm not like omg i need to see what happens next

The title of this book totally turned me off, but I'm happy I went through with reading it because it is very very good.

The author keeps writing “I gave him a vulgar gesture”. Uh gurl what does that mean… she wrote about him giving her head in detail about 3 pages ago but can’t write I gave him the middle finger?

The writer keeps saying “I have him a vulgar gesture” I’m like girl… tf does that mean.

I think I'm enjoying this one the most so far, I've committed this far and succumb to it all

The first part of the book was definitely a lot more fun and relatable. Now its kinda making me sad and depressed about life.

Love love love this is so my type of book. Very relatable and makes me want to romanticize my life more.

Okay so ya this book is really good. When the romance is there it is really really there. It’s huge as fuck and lowkey moves at a slower pace. Thoigh when I hunker down and read it’s amazing. Just am wanting more romance cause it gets so sexy omgg

Literally so much has changed since the first book, i'm like dumbfounded. Shorty flip flopped like a mf sandal. I think my issue with this series isn't that it's slow cause a lot of plot and world building does happen, more i'm not attached to the characters. Like i need more romance and need to see more into the characters head. Like girl ur so confusing so tell me how tf to feel cause u seem to change ur mind alot

Okay so I'm liking this one better than the first, damn it got kinda mf sexy. Tho feyre girl...... i know she's been thru a lot but can we not enjoy like life a bit.. idk... I really dont know where they are going with this and its a BIG book. Imma SUCKER DOWN and really get into it.
